WESTGATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

This new school replaced a 1950’s-era school in the heart of Kennewick. The building was oriented to maximize natural daylight in classrooms and other learning spaces while controlling the heat gain in south-facing rooms with sunshades and other features. Like other Kennewick schools, the design features a displacement ventilation mechanical system that provides excellent energy performance and extremely low noise.
