The 66,700 SF Social Science and World Language Center contains three levels of classrooms, labs, student breakout spaces, and four suites of faculty offices. High-volume spaces emphasize interior circulation and the value of daylight, providing users with an intuitive understanding of the building. Two large sloped-floor classrooms are stacked in a cylindrical form in the center of the building adjacent to a spacious lobby, which also serves as informal student study spaces and seminar rooms. The building forms take advantage of daylight to improve the effectiveness of interior spaces and express a building that explores Social Sciences and World Language in a dynamic, exciting environment.
