FUERZA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

This new school was a modification of Westgate Elementary and Amon Creek Elementary. The site was repurposed, from a demolished middle school, to provide a home for this new dual-language school. Similar to Westgate and Amon Creek, the building is oriented to maximize natural daylight in classrooms and other learning spaces while controlling the heat gain in south-facing rooms by the use of sunshades and other features.

The design features a displacement ventilation mechanical system that provides excellent energy performance and extremely low noise.
